Veneer
A thin layer of material placed over a tooth surface, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth, or to protect a damaged tooth surface. There can be two different types of materials  used to fabricate a veneer: Composite or Porcelain. A composite veneer may be directly placed (built-up in the mouth).  A porcelain  veneer is indirectly fabricated by a dental laboratory, and later cemented to the tooth

Types of Tooth  Whitening
There are two main methods of whitening:
Office Bleach: Involves applying a high concentration of oxidizing agent for a short period of time. Â This produces quick results but risks chemical burns to the soft tissues. Therefore, most in-office bleaching procedures use a light-cured protective layer that is carefully painted on the gums .
